LEGACIES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF PETS.

Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Trotter, of Kidbrook Park-road, Blackheath, who died on November 22, aged 90, left estate of the gross value of £14,583, with net personality £14,428 10s. 11d. She bequeathed £400 on trust for her servant Elizabeth Funnell during her life and left to her “my little dog ‘Laddie,’ also £50 for the dog’s maintenance.” She also bequeathed £500 each to the Church Missionary Society, the British and Foreign Bible Society, and the London City Mission; and £250 to the Refuge for Homeless Boys, Great Queen-street, London, W.C.

LEGACIES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF PETS.

Mrs. Marie Douglas (otherwise Maria Sabina Cooper), of Keith-grove, Uxbridge-road, W., who died on March 19, 1910, left estate of the gross value of £18,079. She bequeathed £100 to the Home of Rest for Horses at Acton, founded by herself and Miss Lindo; and her horses, ponies, dogs, and parrots, and any other animals to Henry Bosher, her coachman, with the instruction that the trustees shall pay £4 a week to him “so long as any of the animals may be living and he shall humanely and efficiently feed, maintain, and care for such animals as from time to time shall be alive.”

Miss Elizabeth Frances’ Girdlestone, of 26, Royal York-crescent, Clifton, Bristol, who died on March 20, left estate valued at £13,295 gross, with net personality £13,131. The residue of her estate, which will probably amount to more than £12,000, she left to the Blind Asylum, Bristol, and the Children Hospital, Cheyne-walk, Chelsea, in equal shares.

Mr. Campbell Cooke, of Chartfield-avenue, Putney-hill, head of the freight department of the Union-Castle Mail Steamship Company, who died on November 15, aged 58, left estate of the gross value of £12,876, of which the net personality has been sworn at £12,614.

Mr. Francis Batten Cristall Tarver, of The Links, Walton-on-Thames, formerly of Eaton College, who died on November 11, aged 83, left estate of the gross value of £11,760, of which the net personality has been sworn at £11,718.

Mrs. Katharine Compton Burnett, of The Drive, Hove, who died on October 5, aged 55, widow of Dr. James Compton Burnett, M.D., of Wimpole-street, left estate of the gross value of £20,885, of which £13,477 is net personality.
